Commitments?.....Or are they just lies?

Commitments, you know they will pay off with much success, but we still can't seem to persevere.  How many times have you made New Year's Resolutions, committed yourself to something or just simple "favors" to someone, only to see yourself sliding back into your old ways or finding a way out of it? It happens all the time and your not alone.  I recently made 3 commitments to better myself this year and I have stuck with 2 of them.  I know what needs to be done to become a more Wonderful Woman but I continue to make excuses for not doing them, " I'll do it later", "I don't have time" and everybody's favored,  "I'm tired".   I have to get on the right track now or accept failure........NOT! I won't be doing that! For me, I had to look at commitment for what it really is, a pledge or promise to yourself for personal growth.  The most important single factor in individual success is commitment. Commitment ignites action.  Possibly the best description of commitment is "persistence with a purpose".  We have to have a purpose in life, there is an old saying that says, "Stand for something or you'll fall for anything." So now what? We need to first, set a goal no matter how big or small.  Secondly, commit yourself 100%, stick with it, the reward will be well worth the hard work and it will make you a better person all the way around.  And lastly, learn perseverance, persistence and determination, get that 'never give up' attitude.  Let's go Wonderful Women!  No more lies, just commitments!!!!
